CUMMING, GA – November 1, 2016– Leibel Law, North Georgia’s leading personal injury law firm, has negotiated a $292,500 pre-litigation settlement for a client who suffered severe injuries after his bike was hit by a motor vehicle in Dahlonega, Georgia.
The client, who was touring the North Georgia Mountains on a bike, and the motorist were traveling on a county road in Lumpkin County when the motorist attempted a left turn. The resulting collision sent the 50-year-old male cyclist airborne, shattering his ankle on impact. The client sustained significant injuries requiring a total reconstruction of his ankle.
Prior to the collision, the plaintiff was an active cyclist who biked a hundred miles a week. The incident sidelined him for many months, while he underwent extensive surgery and rehabilitation.
