Several were injured Thursday morning in Stone Mountain when a teenager crashed head-on into a MARTA bus before attempting to flee the scene, the AJC reports.
According to MARTA spokeswoman Alisa Jackson, 13 passengers on the bus were taken to nearby hospitals to be treated for injuries after the wreck.

None of those injuries are life-threatening.
WTVM reports the incident took place along Memorial Drive near the intersection of North Hairston Street at around 7 a.m. The driver of a black sedan reportedly struck a Chevy Equinox and crossed into the opposite lane of traffic before crashing into the bus.
The driver, a 16-year-old male, then left his car and attempted to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended by authorities. He was charged with hit and run, failing to maintain lane, and driving on the wrong side of the road.
The suspect has since been released into the custody of his mother.
Atlanta’s public transportation system is often caught in the middle of dangerous accidents. In June, a motorcyclist was killed in East Point after crashing into a MARTA bus.
